I do not know anyone that likes the word Diet... I hate it...
Since I am not pleased with my body lately, I knew I needed to make some changes. First step.... eat better!... enter the dirty word diet...
I decided that if I could follow a diet plan for 2 weeks, then my body would be used to eating these items and I would be in the habit of healthy eating.
I "borrowed" a meal plan from the Self magazine at the gym... (ok I stole it because I am not going to retrun these pages)
It is the JumpStart Diet... lose 8 lbs in 2 weeks.
So, with my Jump Start Diet and my new work out plan... I am on the road to getting back to Wedding Day weight (just 12 lbs less then I am today).
Day 1:
Monday- Ugh, worst day to start the D word
Breakfast- egg whites, broccoli, 2 tbsp. cheddar cheese in a wheat tortilla wrap.
Morning Snack- 1/2 grapefruit
Lunch- tuna salad wheat bread, lettuce.
Tuna recipe- 1 can tuna, 2 tbsp chopped pickles, 2 tbsp Hummus
pretzels (about 10)
1/2 grapefruit
Afternoon Snack- Pretzels
Dinner- Porkchop, Sauteed apple slices and onions with Sweet Potato topped with maple syrup &olive oil
GYM- 30 minutes Cardio/5 minute abs
Day 2:
Tuesday-
Breakfast- 1 cup plain yogurt, diced pineapple, 2 tbsp granola, honey
Morning Snack- 1/2 grapefruit
Lunch- Tuna Salad, wheat bread, lettuce, pretzels
Afternoon snack- pretzels
Dinner- Grilled Chicken on Chopped salad, red and yellow peppers, cucumber, 2 tbsp. chopped tortilla chips, hard boiled egg, olive oil and red vinegar dressing
GYM- 30 minute Abs, Thighs and Buns class....it was a serious burn to the legs!
So far, I am loving the food, because it is not starvation, and I am feeling pretty good..... I will keep you posted on my status....
