Packing

We are lucky enough to be taking a vacation this month on a cruise to Mexico!

Now I have to pack.... I always over pack and have over sized luggage....

I never really have a system to packing, but here are a few tips I learned that I might try for this trip.

Save space by rolling casual clothing: Lay items on a flat surface and roll carefully, smoothing as you go. Try bundling outfits together by wrapping pants around matching shirts. Stuff shoes with socks or underwear to keep the shoes from getting crushed.

Distribute weight evenly in your suitcase or duffel bag by packing the heaviest items, such as shoes and toiletry bags, at the bottom. Make extra space in an almost-full duffel or soft case by carefully dropping it onto a hard surface to help the items settle.

Don't carry full-size toiletries, which are heavy and bulky. Instead, fill small containers with travel-size quantities of such products. When you unpack at home, refill the containers so they'll be ready for your next trip. Store cotton balls and cotton swabs in plastic bags.

This should help a little in order to save room. Although, I don't know why I am worried... all I should need a bathing suit and some sunscreen!!!! Sunshine here I come!!!

I need an ocean/beach vacation. I'm going to go a little crazy if I don't go sometime soon! It's been far too long since I've seen and enjoyed the sunshine/ocean and I need to get on this!

Have a great time and enjoy yourself! These packing tips are great and I'm sure it's easier to pack summer things over winter. Those big sweaters weigh so much and take up so much room!
