Tybee Island

We took a break from the Labor Day weekend crowds in Savannah for some fun in the sun! 20 miles south of Savannah is the cutest 5 mile beach town, Tybee Island!
This place really takes you back in time! It is so quaint and peaceful! The houses are small cottages in bright colors.

We started our morning out at "The Breakfast Club" which is famous because John F. Kennedy had them cater his wedding! It only has about 6 tables, so of course there was a wait. They are known for their giant omelets, pecan waffles and ENORMOUS cheeseburgers. They cook in an open kitchen right behind the counter top, it is very cool!

We spent time laying on the beach, although we looked so lame because we did not have lounge chairs or an umbrella like the "townies", but we still had fun!

We got ice cream and walked to the shops. It was a great day!

In case you get to Tybee in the fall, they host Pirate Fest!! FUN I want to check that out!!
